Margie took me to meet her father and sister in Botswana and daughter in South Africa.

Whilst out in the Okavango Delta and during a conversation with her dad, I took the opportunity and asked him if I could have Margie’s hand in marriage, then proceeded to ask her sister and brother in law as well.

This was all whilst on safari.

On a sunset game drive we stopped for sun dower drinks.

The drinks available was champagne and I got down on my knee and asked her to marry me.

Then back in South Africa, Margie took me to see the farm where she and her siblings all grew up, I got down on my knee again this time with the proper ring.

She did say yes on both occasions.
In December 2019, we had a very unofficial celebration of our partnership come wedding type affair, with family and friends in South Africa.

Margie’s father Richard and her American aunt both walked her down the aisle.

These nuptials were only going to be made official once Margie gained British citizenship.

Which I am very pleased to say has finally happened, hence we are here today.
